Description

Plaintiff Employment Attorney

Class Action | Wage & Hour | PAGA

Location: Los Angeles, CA (Hybrid or Remote)

Experience: 3+ Years Preferred

Compensation: Competitive / DOE

The Opportunity

A well-regarded plaintiff-side firm is conducting a confidential search for a skilled Employment Attorney to join its California practice. This role is designed for a litigation-focused advocate with a passion for workers' rights and proven experience handling complex, multi-plaintiff disputes.

Unlike firms focused solely on single-plaintiff matters, this team specializes in high-impact, substantive employment litigation within a collaborative, mission-driven environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Litigate Complex Cases: Focus on plaintiff-side wage and hour disputes, class actions, and PAGA representative actions.

  • Full-Cycle Management: Oversee cases from intake through resolution, including discovery, depositions, substantive motion practice, and trial preparation.

  • Case Strategy: Develop class certification strategies, formulate damages theories, and collaborate with firm leadership.

  • Stay Expert: Keep pace with evolving California Labor Code regulations, IWC Wage Orders, and PAGA enforcement trends.

Qualifications

  • Credentials: Active member in good standing with the State Bar of California (required).

  • Experience: 3+ years of employment litigation experience, with a strong preference for plaintiff-side practice.

  • Key Expertise: Direct, hands-on experience handling PAGA representative actions, wage and hour claims, and/or class actions is required. (Candidates with mixed plaintiff/defense backgrounds are welcome to apply).

  • Skills: Exceptional written and oral advocacy skills, with the self-direction needed to manage multiple active matters independently.
