Job Title: Planner
Location: Exton, PA
Pay: 55,000-$85,000
Shift: Full-time, Monday - Friday (standard business hours)

Responsibilities

Assume overall responsibility for aligning production and shipping schedules so customer sales orders are fulfilled in a timely manner
Work closely with company management and manufacturing personnel to strategize and develop plans for current and long-term goals
Review customer sales orders in the ERP system to ensure timely fulfillment
Prepare, maintain, and publish master production and shipping schedules for all work orders, including breakdowns of operations and materials required
Plan and issue production orders for all manufactured products while tracking progress with production management
Initiate purchase requests for materials needed to satisfy customer sales orders, production order components, and established inventory stock levels
Work with the Purchasing and Inventory Departments to ensure material is available in a timely manner to meet production schedules
Act as the primary liaison between Sales staff and the Production and Shipping Departments
Provide updates on open orders to Sales staff as necessary and assist in scheduling new work and bids based on product lead times
Plan and schedule work for each production cell according to established manufacturing lead times
Confer with department supervisors to define the current status of assigned projects and work orders
Expedite operations that delay schedules and modify schedules to meet unforeseen conditions
Identify and work with appropriate staff to help resolve supplier and internal errors that result in manufacturing and scheduling delays
Provide continual improvement of planning and reporting processes
Review inventory levels of stock items to ensure proper minimum and maximum stock levels are maintained
Prepare, maintain, and ensure department quality control guidelines and procedures are followed



Required Education, Skills, and Experience
High school diploma or GED
Bachelor"s degree or 4+ years of relevant work experience
Proficiency in MS Office programs
Background with various MRP systems
Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Preferred Education, Skills, and Experience
Experience in manufacturing production planning and scheduling
Experience working with ERP systems
