Role Summary

A Planner at MacLean-Fogg is responsible for developing and executing production schedules that optimize efficiency and ensure timely delivery of products. The primary focus will be to align production capacity with customer demand while managing resources effectively while working in collaborative teams effectively.

Key Responsibilities

  • Evaluate and ensure the cost-effectiveness of materials to support budgetary goals while maintaining quality standards.

  • Collaborate with relevant teams to assess and ensure the quality of materials used in production, aligning with industry standards and specifications.

  • Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with the purchasing department to maintain optimal stock of parts and raw materials necessary for production.

  • Identify and address material-related challenges, striving to achieve and sustain key inventory performance metrics.

  • Research and establish relationships with new suppliers as needed, ensuring a reliable and diverse sourcing strategy.

  • Interpret blueprints and technical specifications to accurately determine the required parts and materials for product manufacturing.

  • Perform all other duties as assigned.

  • Intermediate verbal and written communication skills.

  • Ability to consistently meet deadlines while managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

  • Ability to effectively solve problems and implement solutions.

  • Proficient in utilizing various software applications and tools to support planning and inventory management functions.

  • Strong planning skills.

Qualifications (Required)

  • Education: Bachelor's

  • Experience: 2 to 4 years of experience.
