Job Title: Planner I/II

Responsible for obtaining materials, components and equipment.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Check requisitions, obtain quotations, examine bids and awards jobs. • Develop new supply sources where vendors and suppliers are inadequate. • Coordinate purchasing activities with manufacturing and engineering departments to maintain inventory at planned levels. • Monitor the cost, schedule, and scope of assigned subcontracts to assure best quality at best value. • Follow standard practices and procedures in analyzing situations or data from which answers can be readily obtained. • Identify, define, and recommend issues for quality control. • Interpret technical data in mathematical or diagrammatical form. • Work on problems of moderate scope where analysis of situations or data requires a review of identifiable factors. • Exercise judgment within defined procedures and practices to determine appropriate action. • Recommend new policies or procedures as necessary. • Plan and establish production schedules and follow-up performance against estimates. • Supervise assembly of statistical data on demand patterns, usage, etc. • Approve process specification and design standards for processes within area of responsibility. • Manage planning functions on a day-to-day basis. • Maintain inventory records and requisitions, ingredients/supplies as necessary to meet delivery schedules. • Confer with other supervisors to coordinate activities between departments. • Understand and meet or exceed quality standards; seek to minimize error rate. • Participate in continuous improvement efforts. Support and help to implement new ideas. • Assist in any and all areas assigned.

Job Requirements:

Education: • Bachelor's degree or 8 years' education and work experience; plus experience and knowledge in operations of business.

Experience: • APICS or CPM certification preferred.

Functional/Technical Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: • Perform detail-oriented tasks utilizing high language skills and intermediate math skills. • Employ good written and oral communication skills. • Read and analyze complex information. • Must be able to work with a diverse variety of people from different cultures and backgrounds. #LI-MR1

Target Hiring Range Annual Salary: USD 77,000.00 - USD 101,000.00 Actual compensation is commensurate with experience, skills and education.
