We are seeking resumes for a Maintenance Planner - Electrical in our Gladstone, VA facility.

Summary

Plans and schedules the execution of mechanical maintenance work orders and scheduled maintenance shutdowns, including ordering parts and materials, scheduling mill manpower, managing contractor services, establishing time estimates, and detailing the chronology of events in Microsoft Project.

Key Responsibilities

• Procures maintenance materials and equipment and manages shipment and delivery of equipment sent to vendors for rebuilds and repairs. • Manages maintenance costs, communicates to management when costs may exceed budget, and provides justification when they do exceed budget. • Active participant in a maintenance and production team responsible for maximizing equipment production and availability. • Schedules and leads maintenance shutdown planning meetings to meet the mills objectives. • Covers for area mechanical supervision during vacations and absences or when otherwise necessary. • Must be willing to put in the necessary time as maintenance needs require, reporting to the mill during unscheduled work hours to assist in the resolution of maintenance and production problems and reporting to the mill on weekends on a periodic on-call schedule.

Basic Qualifications

Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in an industrial setting in paper pulp and power-related function. Flexibility in the work schedule, including some evenings and weekends. Must have strong demonstrated leadership skills and the proven ability to lead effective teams. Problem-solving skills and the ability to positively implement change. Excellent communication, verbal and written, and interpersonal skills are essential. Strong computer skills required, including Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook.

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelors degree in engineering. Minimum of five years of maintenance-related experience. Knowledge and Skills Required

Must have strong organizational skills to handle numerous details, deadlines, and requests. Must have the ability to adapt to and work effectively and independently in a fast-paced, multitasking environment. Must be able to evaluate and prioritize tasks for efficiency and completeness. Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate with individuals throughout the company on departmental procedures, policies, and requests for information.

Compensation and Benefits

Starting salary range for position: $94,000 - $120,000. Paid Vacation: 3 weeks per calendar year. Pro-rata Vacation during the initial year of hire based upon start date within the calendar year. Annual Bonus: Based upon individual contribution and overall Company performance. Paid Holidays.

Within the first 30 days of employment, an employee and their dependents are eligible to enroll in certain benefit coverages - medical, dental, and vision - and are automatically enrolled in life AD&D and disability coverages. Upon hire, an employee is automatically enrolled in the 401k plan, which offers both pre-tax and Roth contribution options along with employer-provided matching contributions.
