Job Description

The Planner is responsible for coordinating, scheduling, and monitoring the flow of materials to support build plans and meet operational targets within defined budget parameters. This role proactively analyzes material requirements, ensuring timely forecasting and alignment of supply with demand.

The Planner manages and maintains the Material Requirements Planning (MRP) system to support efficient production execution. The role also ensures clear and timely communication of delivery status, risks, and priority shifts to relevant stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform material requirement analysis to support both near-term execution and longer-term demand planning; identify and resolve supply gaps
  • Maintain and update MRP system data, including Bills of Materials (BOM) and item attributes, to ensure accurate material planning for projects
  • Assess material availability and provide recommendations for disposition (e.g., excess, alternate usage, or obsolescence) in coordination with cross-functional partners
  • Adjust manufacturing and supply plans in response to design changes, material constraints, or shifting priorities, and communicate impacts to stakeholders
  • Support execution of build plans by releasing and managing material requirements across the production cycle
  • Identify, track, and resolve material shortages or planning deviations; generate and communicate shortage reports
  • Collect and analyze data from multiple sources to troubleshoot issues and support decision-making
  • Collaborate with Engineering, Program Management, Operations, and Business teams to align on requirements, schedules, and priorities
  • Manage individual tasks, timelines, and deliverables with a structured and detail-oriented approach

Level of Responsibility

  • Communicates clearly and effectively, translating moderately complex information for cross-functional audiences
  • Works within established budgets and timelines; execution accuracy is important to avoid delays or rework
  • Demonstrates organized planning and prioritization across tasks with multiple steps and dependencies
  • Applies structured problem-solving skills to address moderately complex issues using defined methodologies
  • Contributes ideas and input to team discussions and planning activities

Minimum Qualifications
