The primary role of the Planner/Scheduler is to improve work force productivity and work quality by eliminating in advance potential delays and obstacles through proper planning and coordination of parts, machine time and labor. The Planner/Scheduler is responsible for the planning and scheduling of all maintenance work performed in the area to which they are assigned. They maintain communication and coordination between the operations and maintenance organizations; Maintains appropriate records and files to permit meaningful analysis and reporting of results or work done. The Planner/Scheduler will report to the Maintenance Site Manager and work closely with Operations, Maintenance Supervision, Stores, and Purchasing Personnel.

Walk down new work requests
Enter notifications from engineers/production and send acknowledgement and notification number
Plan out work orders (man/machine/material)
Research, spec out, and source materials needed
Add new parts to SAP request sheet as needed (determining min/max, ABC category etc.)
Generate PM status report daily
Run the daily maintenance planning meeting
Keep all work orders maintained (close those that are done, activate ones when they are ready to be worked on)
Assist Senior Planner and Site Manager in data analytics
Preventative Maintenance Compliance
Work Order Backlog Analysis
Schedule Adherence
Resource Utilization
Equipment Reliability Metrics
Cost Analytics
Inventory & Spare Parts Analytics
Root Cause & Failure Analysis
Communicate with Engineering on status of work order requests
Update Assembly ZM01s status
Run weekly work order status meeting
Locate new equipment and gather information in order to generate new equipment numbers
Generate new equipment numbers and set up equipment masters
Utilize information from accounting to execute Place in Service for new equipment
Add asset numbers from accounting to equipment masters
Label new equipment
Do equipment audit and corrections
Look up and release PMs that would not be issued when schedule is to be created
Construct weekly PM schedule
Assign specific PMs to the correct shift
Review PM progress daily with leadership group
Assign correct status to PMs
Make new PM task lists from manufacturers recommendations/manuals and/or employee input
Make new Maintenance plans and add/remove equipment as needed
Update maintenance plans and task lists as needed
Create weekend work schedule and run weekend work planning meeting
Shut Down planning and execution (internal and external contractors)
Coordinate and Track Return Materials and Outside Repairs
Log weekly counter readings
Help Technicians find parts
Ensure all safety procedures, practices, and regulations are followed before, during, and after the process to foster a positive safety culture by having a safety-first mindset and approach during execution of activities

Essential Skills and Experience |
Associate’s degree and/or at least two years of experience as a planner and scheduler in a manufacturing environment
Knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within related field
Proven leader and team player with strong work ethic
Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
Strong problem-solving skills
Ability to make decisions in a timely manner, exhibit sound and accurate judgment
Demonstrate a high level of customer service
Strong communication and interpersonal skills (both listening and speaking)
Demonstrate strong organizational skills
Ability to prioritize with an emphasis on quality of work
Proficiency in MS Office or Windows based software required
Very Strong Computer Skills
Excellent attention to detail, accuracy, and sense of urgency

Beneficial Skills and Experience |
Bachelor’s Degree in related field
Greater than 3 years of experience in planning and scheduling
Experience in SAP preferred
