Job Summary:
NAES is seeking an experienced Planner / Scheduler to support commissioning activities for a large-scale power generation project in Texas. This position is responsible for developing and maintaining commissioning schedules, coordinating work activities, tracking project progress, resource loading, and preparing reports that support safe and efficient startup execution. Working closely with commissioning leadership, engineering, construction, OEM representatives, and operations teams, this role will help ensure commissioning activities remain aligned with overall project milestones while providing accurate reporting on schedule performance, resource utilization, and commissioning readiness.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Develop, maintain, and update commissioning schedules in coordination with project leadership.
Coordinate daily and weekly commissioning activities while supporting resource planning and workforce loading.
Monitor schedule progress, identify potential delays, and communicate schedule risks to project leadership.
Coordinate with engineering, construction, commissioning, OEM representatives, and operations to maintain schedule alignment.
Support planning meetings, outage coordination, commissioning readiness reviews, and startup planning activities.
Job Requirements:
Experience using Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, or comparable scheduling software.
Strong understanding of commissioning, startup, construction, or maintenance planning processes.
Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
Ability to interpret project schedules, resource plans, and milestone reporting.
Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and other reporting tools.
Education / Experience:
Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Business, or a related field preferred; equivalent experience will be considered.
Experience supporting planning, scheduling, or reporting on utility-scale power generation, industrial construction, or commissioning projects is preferred.
Experience with commissioning schedules, startup planning, and project reporting is highly desirable.
