Job Details:
Title: Planner/Scheduler III
Location: San Diego, CA, 92123
Duration: 5+ Months (Temp to hire)
Pay: $43 - $52 per hour
Shift: 8: 00 am to 5: 00 pm
 
Job Purpose:
Responsible for coordinating, planning and scheduling hardware demand throughout the production cycle to support deliveries to the customers.
 
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Assess production plans for feasibility through the use of Manufacturing Resource Planning (MRP)
  • Perform lead-time analyses for material and assembly requirements.
  • Translating production plans into time-phased build schedules.
  • Assess supply and manpower resources to manage and prioritize demand requirements
  • Maintain MRP need date and requirement data integrity. Continually manage forecast demand in SAP per Sales and Operations Planning instructions.
  • Work closely with Procurement and Operations Planner to monitor supply chain issues for production planning purposes.
  • Maintain production spreadsheets to ensure proper monitoring and management of production planning.
  • Access the customers supply chain portals for new and revised purchase orders daily. Interface with the customer as needed regarding updates and/or requests.
  • Manage sales order inputs both new and revisions into SAP while managing forecast demand accordingly for production end items.
  • Logistics/carrier scheduling
  • Create appropriate shipping paper in SAP to process On Time Shipments to the customer. This includes not only SAP but also the customs clearance request for some shipments and the subsequent including AES filings for customs clearance.
 
Required Competencies - Education / Knowledge / Skills and Abilities:
  • Bachelor’s Degree or Associate Degree with Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Operations and Planning courses.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a Supply Chain environment with an emphasis on Master Scheduling for the Aerospace industry or other high volume manufacturing industry.
  • Ability to perform lead-time analyses.
  • Ability to utilize master scheduling methodologies and tools with some guidance.
  • Excellent written and communications skills.
  • Experience with a computerized ERP/MRP system. SAP experience preferred.
 
Physical Requirements:
  • While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to type.
  • The employee is frequently required to do sit down work.
  • The employee must seldom lift and /or move up to 10 pounds.
  • The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet
