As a Planner Scheduler, you will be responsible for:
- Scheduling and dispatching FPL generation resources to balance load and generation economically.
- Evaluating and approving OASIS requests and performing energy accounting functions.
- Planning, scheduling, and tracking to ensure compliance with operational and regulatory requirements.
- Developing work orders and leading scheduling processes for maintenance, compliance, and project execution.
- Coordinating power plant operations with FPL's System Operator and PGBU.
- Ensuring rapid recovery from generation loss to comply with NERC requirements.
- Creating and maintaining project schedules using Primavera P6 Software.
- Preparing monthly reports and performing critical path method analysis.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or professional certification.
- 6 - 10 years of experience in scheduling, operations, or power system planning.
- 4 years of experience with Primavera P6 Scheduling software.
- Six Sigma Yellow Belt Certification.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to lead Schedule Review Meetings and coordinate project activities.
Preferences
- Experience in load forecasting, transmission and distribution operations, and real-time system planning.
- Experience in project management with a focus on tracking project plans and performing ad-hoc analyses.
