Job Summary:

As a Planner & Customer Support Specialist for FluidEfficiency’s Service Center, your primary responsibility is to manage all new and existing repair orders/contracts of customers. Responsible for receiving and evaluating all incoming requests and requirements of customers to provide an accurate estimate for the equipment repair/component including initiating the Sales Order Process. Is accountable for ensuring that all requirements of the customer are met while simultaneously delivering or improving the as-sold project financials (revenue & margins). Will work closely with Sale Team, CST, Internal Team and Management to ensure timely and competitive estimates and order delivery. Requires exceptional interpersonal skills and strong ERP knowledge and system planning skills.

On-Site positions will require employees to work on-site for each of their scheduled shifts.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Consistent, regular and punctual attendance is an essential function of this job.
  • Responsible for creating and entering all new and incoming project quotes and sales order using D365 F&O
  • Develop detailed written Work-Scope and Quote to be submitted to customer
  • Supports quote by utilizing cost estimate sheets, project planner sheet and procedures
  • Provides support and works with Shop Lead by creating Job Packets with all related and necessary documents to execute the project
  • Project planning outlining all tasks, timelines and resource requirements
  • Work with outside vendors in collecting all cost associated with the project’s quote
  • Responsible for issuing and receiving in all Purchase Orders while tracking orders to ensure on-time project delivery
  • Coordinate with internal teams to ensure timely project execution and delivery
  • Monitor project progress and adjust schedules as needed
  • Be the primary contact for the Specialist and customer to provide regular status updates and progress on active project(s)
  • Review customer purchase order to ensure it’s consistent to submitted quote and to provide necessary feedback or comments
  • Responsible for tracking and scheduling logistics activities related to the project including shipping and receiving of items into D365 F&O to ensure financial accuracy
  • Responsible for capturing all data related to the project’s cost including material cost, labor hours, equipment and any additional expenses
  • May facilitate daily morning customer service meetings.
  • Reviews and recommends the disposition of excess and obsolete inventory.
  • Issues daily/weekly production schedule. Adjusts and expedites as required to achieve required customer service levels.
  • Assists management in resolving problems concerning over shipments, shortages, engineering changes and cancellations of orders.
  • Prepares and provides various reports for management. Participates actively in departmental and cross functional meetings.
  • Participates in cross-functional improvement teams as necessary.

  • Works independently.
  • Must possess thorough understanding of materials, scheduling, inventory control and planning functions as well as a solid understanding of a manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to provide solutions to a wide variety of problems and use sound judgment in decision-making processes. Failure to do so may cause delays in program schedules and result in the allocation of additional resources. Ability to quickly learn and understand new and upgraded business systems.
  • Ability to interact well at all levels of the organization. Ability to act as a liaison between Customer Service, Manufacturing and Engineering. Must be able to represent the organization regarding specific issues or projects as necessary.

Education and/or Experience:

  • Bachelors Degree required. CPIM certificate is strongly preferred.
  • 4-6 years of job-related experience.

Chesterton is committed to paying all its employees in a fair and equitable manner. The pay range associated with this position ($75,000 - $85,000. DOE) is Chesterton's good-faith salary estimate for the presently available position. Several roles at Chesterton are considered “leveled” positions and as such, the company reserves the right to advertise and or hire for this position at appropriate level depending on applicant’s skillset/experience. Hired applicants may be eligible for additional incentive compensation depending on the level and or function of the position which will be discussed with the candidate prior to formal interview.
