The leading electronic measurement company who is also on the forefront of technology innovations. This role is for Planning Representative - Intermediate (Mfg. Proud) and we are looking for candidates to collaborate with Tellus Solutions to create innovative solutions and to fulfill on our client's mission.

Job Description:
Duties:
  • A creative and flexible individual to continue mastery of planning activities for our New Product and production at our Santa Clara location.
  • The successful candidate will need to have a good understanding of production planning, NPI and master scheduling and know how to interact with cross functional teams to drive plan execution.
  • The role will be responsible for performing production planning/NPI activities around making a weekly and monthly production plan and translating to the day-to-day production schedule.

Responsibilities:
  • Create, maintain and communicate a weekly production schedule using capacity, material constraints, and demand as inputs.
  • Manage assigned NPI/Sustaining projects at both strategic and tactical level
  • Monitor production progress and adjust schedules as needed, to meet changing demands.
  • Manage shipment schedule to meet customer delivery commitments.
  • Provide guidance on production capacity, lead times, and volumes to support Sales and Operations. Identify potential capacity bottlenecks that will affect the build plan.
  • Manage work orders generated from the MRP run and ensure they seamlessly get created and communicated to relevant team members.
  • Build and maintain communication relationships with cross functional teams to manage supply and demand issues, resolve work order variances and establish and track root cause.
  • Evaluate current process and recommend continuous improvement to evolve process
  • Execute ECO implementation requirements.
  • Determine and manage potential line shortages by analyzing build schedules, shortage reports, on hand inventory reports and supplier delivery information.
  • Escalate Potential issues or target misses where necessary to management
  • Perform other tasks as assigned

Skills:
  • Experience in production planning, master scheduling, materials management, or material planning in a manufacturing environment
  • Proficiency in MS Excel, including ability to maintain and enhance Excel-based material shortage reports.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks based on demand.
  • Ability to present build plan/schedule status effectively in weekly program/executive meetings
  • Open-minded, collaborative and team-oriented attitude. Self-motivation and resourcefulness
  • Education:
  • Bachelor's degree in supply chain, Operations Management, or other related field or equivalent experience PLUS 5 years of related experience in materials management, production planning, scheduling, material planning, or purchasing in a manufacturing environment.
