Plant Controller

Our client operates as a premier manufacturer of flexible polyurethane foam, playing a pivotal role in the automotive, furniture, industrial, and specialty market sectors through its Greensboro facility. With approximately 200 dedicated employees, the facility is in search of a skilled financial leader to steer its financial strategy. Local candidates will find an added advantage.

As a pivotal member of the Site Leadership Team, this position demands hands-on financial stewardship over the plant's operations. Core responsibilities include coordinating financial reporting, manufacturing cost oversight, budgeting, forecasts, variance assessments, payroll, and managing accounts. This role involves direct collaboration with key leaders across various departments, thereby linking operational excellence with financial results to enhance productivity, profitability, and continuous enhancements.

**Key Responsibilities:**
- Direct financial operations encompassing cost, general and product accounting, along with detailed variance analysis.
- Scrutinize budgets, operating expenses, and continuously refine accounting systems.
- Lead the monthly reporting process, ensuring the accuracy of flash forecasts, income statements, and balance sheets.
- Oversee the annual budgeting process, support strategic forecasting, and develop pricing scenarios.
- Monitor daily plant performance metrics and support efficiency improvement through lean manufacturing principles.

**Requirements:**
- A bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related disciplines.
- At least 8 years of progressive experience in manufacturing finance roles.
- Demonstrated expertise in manufacturing and cost accounting in a plant environment.
- Strong leadership, analytical, and communication skills are mandatory.
