We are seeking a hands-on Controller to support financial operations within a dynamic manufacturing environment. This role partners closely with operations leadership to provide financial insight, maintain strong controls, and drive cost efficiency and overall business performance.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee plant-level financials including P&L, cost of goods sold, and inventory
Manage cost accounting processes, including standard costing, variance analysis, and cost optimization initiatives
Support inventory accounting across raw materials, work-in-progress, and finished goods
Lead month-end close, including journal entries, accruals, and account reconciliations
Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal accounting policies
Assist with internal and external audits
Operations & Business Partnership
Partner with operations and leadership to analyze performance and identify improvement opportunities
Provide financial insights into production efficiency, labor utilization, and material usage
Support budgeting, forecasting, and long-term planning initiatives
Participate in process improvement and cost reduction efforts
Evaluate financial impact of operational decisions, new products, and process changes
Reporting & Analysis
Prepare regular financial and operational reports for leadership
Perform variance analysis vs. budget and prior periods
Develop KPIs to monitor cost, efficiency, and overall performance
Provide ad hoc financial analysis as needed
Systems & Process Support
Utilize ERP systems to support financial reporting, costing, and inventory tracking
Ensure accuracy of system data, including product costing and inventory movements
Partner with internal teams on system improvements and reporting enhancements
Leadership & Collaboration
Lead and develop accounting staff
Collaborate cross-functionally with operations, supply chain, and corporate finance teams
Foster a culture of accuracy, accountability, and continuous improvement
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
5+ years of accounting/finance experience in a manufacturing environment
Strong understanding of cost accounting and inventory processes
Experience with ERP systems (any major platform)
Advanced Excel skills
Strong analytical and communication skills
Pay Details: $95,000.00 to $110,000.00 per year
