We are seeking a highly analytical and business-minded Plant Controller to support financial operations at Autocam/NNinc. This role is a key partner to plant leadership, responsible for delivering accurate financial reporting, driving cost visibility, and supporting operational decision-making.

The ideal candidate combines strong accounting fundamentals with a proactive approach to analysis, problem-solving, and continuous improvement.

**Key Responsibilities:

**

  • Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements, including variance analysis vs. budget, forecast, and prior year

  • Partner with plant leadership to explain financial results and identify performance improvement opportunities

  • Lead plant month-end close activities, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and timeliness

  • Oversee inventory accounting, including physical counts, reconciliations, and investigation of variances

  • Support annual budgeting and periodic forecasting processes

  • Review general ledger activity, account reconciliations, and supporting documentation

  • Assist with year-end close, audit support, and compliance requirements

  • Drive continuous improvement in financial processes, reporting, and internal controls

  • Ensure adherence to company policies, Quality Management System (QMS), and Environmental Management System (EMS)

**Supervisory Responsibilities:

**

  • Lead, mentor, and develop plant accounting staff

  • Manage day-to-day activities of the accounting team, including workload prioritization and performance management

  • Review work for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with accounting policies

  • Provide coaching, training, and development to build technical and business acumen within the team

  • Support hiring, onboarding, and performance evaluations of accounting personnel

  • Foster a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and collaboration

**Qualifications:

**

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field

  • 3–7+ years of accounting or finance experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment

  • Strong understanding of financial statements and month-end close processes

  • Experience with inventory accounting and cost analysis

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and standard Office applications

  • ERP system experience preferred
