LHH Recruitment Solutions is seeking a Plant Controller for a growing manufacturing organization. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in manufacturing accounting, financial analysis, and internal controls, along with experience leading accounting teams and supporting operational decision-making. This role offers the opportunity to partner closely with plant leadership, drive financial strategy during a period of operational change, and play a key role in process improvements, system implementations, and overall business performance. This is a highly visible, hands-on leadership role within a fast-paced environment, ideal for someone who enjoys a mix of hands-on accounting and strategic involvement.
Key Responsibilities
Lead all plant-level accounting functions, including general ledger, cost accounting, and transactional accounting
Prepare and analyze financial statements, forecasts, and operational reports to evaluate performance
Partner with leadership to establish budgets, financial targets, and key performance metrics
Provide ongoing financial insights through analysis of operational and financial data
Drive the annual planning process and support monthly and quarterly forecasting
Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce costs
Establish and maintain internal controls to protect company assets and ensure compliance with GAAP
Support ERP system enhancements or implementations, including improvements to financial reporting and inventory tracking
Assist with facility changes such as expansions, relocations, or new site launches from a financial perspective
Lead and develop the accounting team, promoting accountability and collaboration
Coordinate with auditors and support audit-related activities
Qualifications Desired
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
Minimum of 5 years of accounting or finance experience, including time in a manufacturing environment
Strong experience with cost accounting, financial reporting, and internal controls
Prior leadership or team management experience
Ability to analyze complex data and communicate insights clearly to non-finance stakeholders
Experience with ERP systems such as SAP or similar platforms
Exposure to regulated manufacturing or environments with structured cost accounting standards
Experience supporting operational transitions, facility expansions, or system implementations
