We are seeking a dynamic and highly analytical individual to join our team as a Plant Controller. This is a critical role within our organization, providing financial leadership and support to our manufacturing operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all financial aspects of the plant, including annual budget preparation, year-end close, financial analysis, and cost accounting. This role offers an excellent opportunity for a seasoned professional to make a significant impact on our company's growth and success.

Responsibilities:

1. Oversee all plant financial operations, including cost accounting, inventory control, budgeting, and forecasting.
2. Prepare the annual plant budget, working closely with plant management to understand and manage manufacturing costs and profitability.
3. Lead the year-end close process, ensuring all financial transactions are accurately recorded and reported in accordance with company policies and GAAP.
4. Provide financial analysis and insights to support strategic decision-making, identifying opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements.
5. Collaborate with plant management and corporate finance team to develop and implement financial strategies that align with company objectives.
6. Ensure compliance with all financial regulations and standards, maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial records.
7. Develop and implement financial controls and processes to improve accuracy, efficiency, and transparency.
8. Provide financial training and support to plant staff, fostering a culture of financial awareness and accountability.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. An MBA or relevant professional certification (CPA, CMA) is preferred.
2. Minimum of 5 years of experience in a financial leadership role within a manufacturing environment, with a strong understanding of manufacturing cost accounting.
3. Proficient in annual budget preparation and year-end close procedures.
4. Strong analytical skills, with the ability to analyze complex financial data and provide meaningful insights.
5. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to clearly explain financial concepts to non-financial staff.
6. Strong leadership skills, with the ability to drive financial performance and accountability.
7. Proficient in financial software and systems, with a strong understanding of ERP systems.
8. High level of integrity and dependability, with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation.
9. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple priorities and meeting deadlines.
10. Continuous improvement mindset, with a focus on efficiency and effectiveness.
