Plant Controller OpportunityOpportunity to spearhead the accounting department of a $100m manufacturing site9/80 schedule, allowing for an additional 26 days off per year (every other Friday)About Our ClientOur client is a growing, highly engineered manufacturing business serving regulated and mission-critical end markets. Due to continued expansion and increasing operational complexity, the company is seeking an experienced Plant Controller to partner closely with site leadership and drive financial performance across a major manufacturing facility. The role is based in Hampton, NH and offers significant visibility with senior executives and key decision-makers.Job DescriptionReporting to senior finance leadership, the Plant Controller will serve as the lead finance partner for a manufacturing site generating $100M+ in annual revenue. The successful candidate will own site-level financial reporting, drive operational performance, and provide commercial insight to support continued growth. Main duties and responsibilities include the following:Lead all site financial activities including month-end close, forecasting, budgeting, and financial reporting.Provide insightful analysis of operational and financial performance, including variance analysis and management commentary.Partner with manufacturing, operations, programme management, and site leadership teams to improve profitability and operational efficiency.Oversee cost accounting activities including standard costing, manufacturing variances, inventory accounting, cost roll-ups, and productivity analysis.Develop and enhance reporting around work-in-progress (WIP), percentage-of-completion accounting, and contract profitability.Support inventory management initiatives, including analysis of purchase price variance (PPV) and manufacturing performance metrics.Drive process improvements that strengthen financial controls, reporting accuracy, and decision-making.Lead site budgeting and capital expenditure planning activities.Ensure compliance with GAAP, internal controls, and corporate financial policies.Support external audits and regulatory reviews as required.Provide leadership and mentorship across the broader site finance function while partnering with accounting and shared services teams.This opportunity is exclusive to Michael Page Boston.
