Your impact

• Own and maintain standard costs for products (materials, labor, overhead) and keep them aligned with how work is done on the floor.
• Partner with manufacturing to dissect processes, identify true cost drivers, and recommend targeted efficiency gains.
• Translate cost and sales data into pricing insights that strengthen margins and competitiveness.
• Support the Quoting team on major customer quote packages and LTAs with detailed cost models and estimates.
• Track, explain, and report job cost variances: material usage, labor efficiency, overhead absorption.
• Support monthly/quarterly/annual close for inventory and cost accounting to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
• Contribute to budgets and forecasts for COGS and manufacturing expense lines.
• Ensure inventory valuation is accurate and compliant with accounting standards.
• Collaborate across engineering, operations, and sales to align assumptions with business strategy.
• Help implement Infor CloudSuite Industrial (Syteline ERP): develop new cost rates and processes to move from Standard Cost to Actual Cost.
• Continuously advance costing methodologies, accounting processes, and reporting—leveraging AI and automation where it helps most.

What you need to succeed

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 3+ years in manufacturing cost accounting; contract manufacturing experience is a plus.
• Advanced Excel and strong ERP proficiency; Syteline experience is a plus.
• Meticulous attention to detail paired with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent cross-functional communication and the ability to present actionable insights.
• Expertise in standard costing, variance analysis, and inventory accounting.
• Proven ability to produce high-quality analysis that informs decisions.
