Plant Director– Laredo, TX

On-site | Cross-Border Manufacturing Operations

We are seeking a hands-on, strategic manufacturing leader to oversee plant operations and drive performance across safety, quality, production, delivery, and employee engagement. This role requires a proven leader with experience in high-volume manufacturing environments, preferably within magnesium die casting, aluminum die casting, metal casting, foundry operations, or complex metals manufacturing.

The ideal candidate is equally comfortable on the production floor and in the leadership team meeting, with a track record of building high-performing teams, developing supervisors and managers, and creating a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and operational excellence.

Must-Have Qualifications:

• 10+ years of progressive manufacturing leadership experience. 5+ years leading multiple departments in a plant leadership capacity.
• Experience in magnesium die casting, aluminum die casting, foundry operations, metal casting, metal fabrication, or complex metals manufacturing environments.
• Proven success leading production, quality, maintenance, engineering, and materials functions. Experience managing manufacturing KPI's, including: OEE, scrap reduction, throughput, productivity, on-time delivery, labor efficiency, and safety performance.
• Demonstrated experience leading change, improving culture, and driving operational performance.

Experience

• Strong manufacturing and industrial leadership experience.
• Experience in automotive, EV, aluminum, magnesium, or similar light-metal manufacturing industries.
• Background leading multiple departments and managers.
• Experience with ERP systems is highly preferred.
• Spanish-speaking ability is a strong advantage given cross-border operations.
• Ability to travel internationally if needed
• Current headcount: Approximately 150 employees, with growth projected to reach around 200.
• Ability to travel is required.

Compensation & Benefits

• Base Salary: Approximately $ 140,000- $ 165,000
• Annual Bonus: 10–20%
• Profit Sharing: 7% of annual salary
