Responsible for providing daily preventive maintenance and repair of electrical power systems, electronic equipment, and instrumentation. This role involves troubleshooting machine breakdowns, assisting with mechanical repairs, and safely restoring equipment to proper operating condition. The position supports plant operations by providing coverage in the Loadout, Crushing, and/or Coloring departments as needed, while strictly following all safety policies and JSAs.
Key Responsibilities
+ Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on electrical and electronic systems.
+ Troubleshoot equipment failures and restore machines to safe operation
+ Calibrate instruments and replace or repair faulty components.
+ Assist with mechanical repairs as required
+ Conduct inspections to maintain equipment efficiency and reliability.
+ Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures
+ Work collaboratively with team members and support continuous improvement efforts.
Two‑year college degree (Associate’s degree) in Industrial Electrical Technology or Industrial Electrician required; equivalent technical training and experience may be considered. Demonstrated knowledge of A/C electrical systems and three‑phase circuits. Working knowledge of industrial instrumentation, including installation, calibration, troubleshooting, and repair. Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and instrumentation loop diagrams. Communication skills must be at a high level in order to clearly communicate issues/problems of the process.
ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS:- Manufacturing plant is not temperature controlled; dust, fumes, and high noise areas are present inside plant areas.- Manufacturing processes involve granules, sand, fiberglass, asphalt coating, crushed rock, and polypropylene.- Noise levels exceed 80 dB in some areas of the site. Moving equipment such as forklifts, buggies, genie booms and industrial sweepers travel throughout the facility, sometimes in congested areas.--
PHYSICAL/MENTAL REQUIREMENTS:- Able to work an average of 40 hours per week, speak clearly, so others understand, accept criticism, deal calmly and effectively, communicate with all levels of customers, whether internal or external, sensitivity to other’s needs, and maintain a positive demeanor.- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; use hands to handle, or feel objects, tools or controls; and reach with hands and arms. The employee frequently is required to walk.- The employee is occasionally required to stand, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.- The employee is occasionally required to sit and talk and hear. Other physical requirements include, ability to regularly lift and/or move up to 50 lbs- without assistance, ability to work from various squatting, kneeling or bending positions, ability to climb ladders up to 60 feet and the ability to work with arms above head.
