Description

A growing food manufacturing company in the Los Angeles area is seeking a hands-on Plant Engineer to support a major facility expansion and modernization initiative. This is an excellent opportunity for an engineering professional who enjoys being on the production floor, solving equipment challenges, improving plant reliability, and leading capital and process improvement projects.

Description

  • Oversee preventive and predictive maintenance programs to ensure equipment reliability.
  • Conduct root cause analysis to address and resolve equipment failures.
  • Manage and optimize the use of CMMS tools
  • Troubleshoot PLCs, including ladder logic programming, to maintain system functionality.
  • Collaborate with manufacturing teams to support production goals and minimize downtime.
  • Maintain mechanical and electrical systems to ensure operational efficiency.
  • Implement continuous improvement strategies for equipment and processes.
  • Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards within the plant.

Profile

A successful Plant Engineer should have:

  • Experience in plant engineering within food or beverage manufacturing.
  • Knowledge of equipment reliability, preventive, and predictive maintenance practices.
  • Proficiency with CMMS tools.
  • Strong skills in PLC troubleshooting and ladder logic programming.
  • Familiarity with mechanical and electrical systems in a manufacturing setting.
  • Ability to conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions.
  • Strong problem-solving and continuous improvement mindset.
