ASPIRUS ST. LUKE''S HOSPITAL in Duluth, MN is seeking a PLANT ENGINEER to join our PLANT SYSTEMS OPERATIONS team!

Salary Range: $28.42 - $37.37 Hourly

Schedule/Hours: VARIED (ALL) SHIFTS, 8/ 12 hours

Weekend Requirement: Every Other Weekend

FTE: FULL TIME, 1.0 FTE or 80 Hours Biweekly

Off Premise On-Call: No

Performs corrective and preventative maintenance, operates assigned Hospital machinery and equipment, tests Hospital equipment and systems and constructs and modifies Hospital equipment and systems as directed.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• Education: High School graduate or equivalent
• Experience: Two (2) years previous experience working with facility systems.
• Licensure/Certification/Registration: N/A

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Education: 2-Year Technical or Trade School OR sufficient experience of a related nature in lieu of degree
• Experience: Previous course work or experience with heating, ventilation and air conditioning.
• Licensure/Certification/Registration: N/A

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

Manual dexterity and mobility.

• READING - Intermediate: Ability to read and interpret documents such as operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.
• WRITING - Intermediate: Ability to write routine reports, correspondence, or procedures.
• SPEAKING - Basic: Ability to speak simple sentences.
• MATHEMATICAL SKILLS - Basic Skills: Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10''s and 100''s. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.
• REASONING ABILITY - Intermediate Skills: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
