Step into a mission-critical, permanent (direct hire) role with our client—a respected tier-one automotive supplier—in Flint, MI. On second shift (Monday–Friday, 5:00 PM–2:00 AM), you’ll safeguard equipment reliability and help the plant hit its goals. Pay: $33–$36 per hour.

Your mission

Champion safe, efficient, and reliable operations. You’ll troubleshoot, repair, and maintain production and facility equipment using predictive and productive maintenance practices that support business objectives.

How you’ll contribute

  • Own shift start up and support launch activity to ensure all machinery is functional for production
  • Diagnose and resolve faults across hydraulics/pneumatics, robotics, mechanical, welding, and electrical systems
  • Program and troubleshoot controls and PLCs (Allen Bradley and Siemens Step 7)
  • Execute preventative maintenance and enforce lockout /tagout procedures
  • Respond to maintenance calls to the line and restore equipment to service
  • Analyze and measure machine performance; recommend and document process improvements
  • Maintain OE – Daily Report entries and track down time
  • Contribute to CI’s and LPA’s; report out any continuous improvement
  • Manage parts inventory accuracy and availability
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment while adhering to mechanical safety requirements
  • Communicate effectively through EOSR/Communication; work with minimal supervision while being a strong team player
  • All other duties as assigned

What sets you up for success

  • High school diploma/GED
  • 2+ years in a production environment
  • Preferred (not required): technical certification in electrical, robotic, mechanical, or fabrication
  • PLC and schematic experience; strong blueprint/schematic reading ability
  • Experience with Allen Bradley and Siemens Step 7
  • Forklift/Manlift Certification (or ability to obtain)
  • Comfort working from heights and in confined spaces
  • Strong mechanical, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • Basic building maintenance and ability to read building schematics
  • Clear written and verbal communication; able to act as an independent leader and collaborate across teams
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
