Pellitteri Waste Systems is seeking an experienced Plant & Facility Safety Manager to lead safety and compliance initiatives across our recycling, transfer, maintenance, and waste facilities. This is an excellent opportunity for a proactive safety professional who is passionate about protecting employees, improving operations, and building a strong culture of safety.We offer:Competitive weekly payPaid time off Health, dental and vision insurance 401k plan with a generous employer matchCompany paid short term and long term disability and life insurance policyResponsibilities:Lead environmental, health, and safety (EHS) programs across multiple facilities.Conduct routine safety inspections, audits, and workplace hazard assessments.Develop, implement, and maintain safety policies and procedures.Coordinate employee safety orientation and ongoing training programs.Investigate incidents, injuries, near misses, and property damage to determine root causes and implement corrective actions.Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and company safety standards.Manage programs including:Lockout/Tagout (LOTO)Fall ProtectionForklift and Heavy Equipment SafetyHot Work & Welding SafetyHazard CommunicationFire Prevention and Emergency ResponsePPE ComplianceMaintain emergency response and evacuation plans..Maintain required safety documentation, permits, and records.Track safety metrics, training completion, and corrective actions.Partner with facility leadership to continuously improve workplace safety.Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Health & Safety, or a related field.5–7 years of safety management experience in industrial, manufacturing, recycling, waste, or heavy equipment environments.Strong working knowledge of OSHA regulations and industrial safety standards.Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or other relevant safety certifications preferred.Experience conducting incident investigations and safety audits.Experience developing and delivering engaging employee safety training.Excellent communication, leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills.Proficiency with Microsoft 365.Valid WI driver's license.About Pellitteri Waste Systems, Inc.:At Pellitteri Waste Systems, safety is more than compliance-it's a core value.
