Job Summary: Provide accounting and analytical support that plays an integral role in the financial success of the facility. Analyze operational performance and recommend actions to maximize financial returns. Work under the direction of the Controller and Site Leader on a broad range of financial activities. Key responsibilities: Support the preparation and analysis of operational results, operating trends, customer profitability, capital projects, and incentive plan calculations. Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and special projects to help management achieve operational objectives. Collaborate with the Controller to develop and refine accounting processes and improve process documentation. Maintain and enhance internal controls, accounting policies, and procedures. Provide financial analysis, including interpretation and application of professional standards, company policies, and processes. Prepare journal vouchers and participate in month-end close activities. Perform daily financial activities for the plant, ensuring accurate and timely completion of daily, weekly, and monthly reports. Conduct data entry and use systems as tools for research and financial analysis. Complete various reporting requirements in accordance with financial policies and capital investment manuals. Ensure applicable internal controls are followed across all areas of responsibility. Investigate, review, and evaluate financial transactions and recommend appropriate accounting treatment. Review and approve production hours entered into the payroll system, balancing hours and maintaining accuracy. Required qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field is required. 3+ years of accounting and/or finance experience. Demonstrated knowledge of general business management principles, internal financial management, and industry practices. Effective communication skills with the ability to engage business leaders at various levels and functions. Demonstrated ability to influence peers and management. Preferred qualifications: CPA or CMA certification is a plus. Prior experience in a manufacturing facility is highly desirable. Finance experience in corrugated, printing, packaging, or a related manufacturing environment is a plus. Additional details: Security clearance is not required. Benefits package included.
