We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Permanent Plant Controller to join our dedicated team. This role will be responsible for managing the financial health of our manufacturing plant, providing crucial financial insight to aid strategic decision-making, and ensuring the overall integrity of plant financial operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of manufacturing accounting, cost control, and plant accounting, with a proven track record of managing warehouse operations.

Job Details

Responsibilities:

As a Permanent Plant Controller, you will:

1. Oversee all plant accounting functions, including cost accounting, inventory control, accounts payable and receivable, and general ledger accounting.
2. Develop and maintain financial policies and procedures for the plant, ensuring compliance with company standards and regulatory requirements.
3. Perform financial analysis, forecasting, and budgeting for the plant operations, providing key insights and recommendations to senior management.
4. Coordinate with the plant management team to identify cost-saving opportunities, improve operational efficiency, and drive profitability.
5. Manage the annual budgeting process, ensuring alignment with the company’s strategic objectives and financial goals.
6. Monitor and control plant assets, inventory, and expenses to ensure accuracy and integrity of financial data.
7. Provide financial training and support to plant personnel, fostering a culture of financial awareness and accountability.
8. Coordinate with external auditors and manage internal audits to ensure compliance with financial reporting requirements.
9. Prepare and present financial reports to senior management, highlighting key financial indicators, trends, and performance against budget.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. An MBA or CPA certification is strongly preferred.
2. Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role within the manufacturing or similar industry.
3. Extensive knowledge of plant accounting, cost control, and manufacturing accounting.
4. Strong understanding of warehouse operations and financial management.
5. Proficient in financial software systems and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly with advanced Excel skills.
6. Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate complex financial data into actionable business insights.
7. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a demonstrated ability to interact effectively with all levels of an organization.
8. Strong leadership and team management skills, with a proven ability to drive performance and foster a culture of accountability.
9. High level of integrity and professionalism, with a commitment to ethical business practices.
10. Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines, while maintaining attention to detail and accuracy.
