We're hiring Entry-Level Plant Operators to join a leading global manufacturing company in Niagara Falls, NY. This is an excellent opportunity to begin or grow your career in manufacturing while working in a safety-focused, team-oriented environment.
Plant Operators play a vital role in supporting daily production, maintaining product quality, operating manufacturing equipment, and ensuring safe plant operations. You'll receive hands-on experience working with a variety of industrial equipment and manufacturing processes.
Operate manufacturing equipment safely and efficiently.
Follow work instructions, production schedules, and standard operating procedures.
Monitor production processes to maintain product quality.
Collect product samples and record production data.
Perform routine inspections and basic troubleshooting of equipment.
Assist with minor equipment adjustments and repairs.
Operate forklifts safely (training or certification may be required).
Support production activities across multiple manufacturing departments.
Follow all plant safety procedures and OSHA guidelines.
Properly wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
Follow Lockout/Tagout procedures and safe work practices.
Participate in safety meetings, audits, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Help maintain ISO quality and environmental standards.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
Assist with general housekeeping throughout the facility.
Restock materials and production supplies.
Dispose of waste materials according to company procedures.
Work collaboratively with production, maintenance, and leadership teams.
Perform additional production duties as assigned.
High School Diploma or GED required.
Previous manufacturing, production, warehouse, or industrial experience preferred.
Basic computer skills.
Mechanical aptitude with strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
Good communication and teamwork skills.
Ability to work independently in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Understanding of workplace safety and OSHA regulations is preferred.
Forklift certification is preferred or the ability to obtain certification.
Flexibility to work overtime and changing schedules when needed.
Plant Operators must be flexible to work a variety of rotating schedules, including:
8-hour shifts
12-hour shifts
Day shifts
Afternoon shifts
Overnight shifts
Weekends
Overtime as required
Employees typically work 36-48 hours per week, depending on the production schedule.
This position requires the ability to:
Lift and move up to 55 pounds.
Stand and walk for extended periods.
Climb ladders and stairs.
Work at elevated heights when necessary.
Work safely around moving industrial equipment.
Work in a dusty manufacturing environment with varying seasonal temperatures.
Wear required PPE throughout the shift.
$22.00 per hour
