Finishing Operator (Plant General) – Light Manufacturing

Position Overview
We are seeking reliable and detail-oriented Finishing Operators (Plant General) to support production operations in a light manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for assisting in all stages of the fabrication and finishing process while maintaining high standards of safety, quality, and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Set up and operate equipment used in fabrication and finishing processes
- Perform cutting, shaping, sanding, assembling, coating, and finishing of wood products
- Inspect materials and finished products to ensure quality standards are met
- Assist with production setup, changeovers, and shutdown procedures
- Perform general labor tasks such as cleaning, painting, labeling, and pallet handling
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment (housekeeping standards)
- Support preventive maintenance activities (non-technical cleaning and upkeep)
- Follow all safety guidelines and consistently use required PPE
- Collaborate with team members, supervisors, and plant staff to meet production goals
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a manufacturing or light industrial environment preferred
- Strong communication skills and ability to work in a team environment
- Ability to follow instructions and adapt to changing production needs
- Dependable with a strong work ethic and attention to detail
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand for extended periods (2–3 hours at a time)
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly
- Comfortable climbing stairs and working in a production setting
Work Environment
- Indoor manufacturing facility with seasonal temperature variations
- Fast-paced production environment with a strong emphasis on safety and quality
- Must be flexible to work overtime and occasional weekends
Schedule
- 1st Shift: 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
- 40 hours/week + potential overtime
- Opportunities may be available on day or night shifts

- Must complete all assigned tasks, including preventive maintenance support
