Plant HR Manager

A leading global supplier in the automotive sector is looking for a dynamic Human Resources professional to lead HR operations at their state-of-the-art facility in Chattanooga. This is a non-union environment, and prior union experience is not necessary—still, a hands-on leadership approach with supervisory capabilities is strongly desirable.

As a pivotal figure within the plant management team, you will guide HR initiatives to align with our strategic business goals. By fostering employee engagement, you will shape our human resources strategies to support both organizational and talent growth. This role blends strategic vision with the tactical execution of HR tasks, reinforcing a culture of health and safety, workplace satisfaction, and operational excellence.

Your responsibilities will include developing and implementing training programs, leading the recruitment lifecycle from candidate identification to onboarding, and enhancing performance and talent management systems. In partnership with our teams, you will ensure that our remuneration packages stay competitive and legally compliant, leveraging your understanding of local and global HR trends.

Your capacity to manage all aspects of health, safety, and environment (HS&E) at the facility, including injury management, will ensure compliance with corporate and regulatory expectations. By influencing and advising plant leaders, you will contribute to best practice dissemination and procedural improvements.

To thrive in this role, you'll need a Bachelor's degree, HR professional accreditation, and over five years of experience in a similar industrial HR role—preferably within the automotive sector. Your proficiency in HR systems and strategic HR management within matrix structures will be key to your success.
