Talascend is currently seeking a Plant Integration Engineer - Contract for a contract opportunity with our client in Bellevue, Washington (State) .OverviewThe Plant Integration Engineer - Contract supports the integration, oversight, and coordination of nuclear island plant design with ongoing licensing and configuration management efforts. This role involves providing technical and administrative design and regulatory support and oversight for the nuclear plant while collaborating with various engineering disciplines.ResponsibilitiesCollaborates with a geographically diverse set of team members, including those in partner organizations, to develop nuclear island plant integration deliverables.Provides support for activities led by other departments, including licensing, design engineering, safety analysis, and PRA.Develops plant level integration design deliverables in collaboration with plant design departments.QualificationsBS degree in a relevant engineering discipline like nuclear, chemical, mechanical, or electrical engineering or a Senior Reactor Operators license or equivalentMinimum of 6 years of relevant experience in nuclear facility design or operationRequirementsDemonstrate initiative and the ability to work independently with moderate supervisionWorking understanding of NRC regulations and associated guidancePrior interaction with the NRC staff is desirableDisplay leadership skills by proactively driving cross functional design, licensing, safety analysis, and PRA collaboration and integrationTeam oriented and able to work effectively with geographically distributed and design team membersConversant across a wide variety of engineering disciplines, programs, and processesAbility to acquire new knowledge and apply it in a fast-paced environmentAbility to organize information to convey it to other disciplines and organizationsAbility to be innovativeStrong verbal and written communication skillsAbility to convey critical design integration information to the management team, engineering and licensing team, customers, etc.Experience working to quality standards on design activities, such as ASME NQA-1 or ISO 9001Possess a high degree of trust and integrity, communicate openly and display respect, and a desire to foster teamworkWe thank all applicants for their interest.
