Job Summary:
In this position, the Leadman will work in conjunction with the Shift Supervisor(s) and staff to maximize production safely while also maximizing quality from the inbound of materials to the outbound (to our customers).

Job Function:
- Work in conjunction with the Shift Supervisor with warehouse personnel (including assisting with coaching, performance reviews, training/re-training, rewarding/disciplinary actions, handle conflict management/resolution, vacations and/or overtime scheduling).
- Assist the Shift Supervisor in coordinating production (including time scheduling, supporting processing schedules, support scheduling with traffic department – CPU’s, receiving, controlling overtime)
- In the absence of the Shift Supervisor, supervise the shift to meet production goals.
- Performance of any/all Warehouse Department tasks as required by the absence of a department member or due to the existence of a backlog of work.
- Coordinate and communicate with Truck Drivers as necessary.
- Maintain complete inter-shift communications
- Review/enforce proper paperwork and procedures regarding production and personnel.
- HR/Safety manager will work closely with and assist shift manager and shift supervisors regarding all legal, safety and personnel issues.
- Maintain a high level of safety during shift.
- Coordinate work order and other paperwork flow as required.
- Drive yard truck moving and organizing trailers into warehouse for loading order for shipment to customers.
- Assist with implementation and enforcement of all company policies/procedures with General Managers, HR Manager and Shift Managers.
- Work closely with other shifts/applicable managers on all major decisions.
- Identify weaknesses in any areas and ways to improve production/safety/quality/personnel processes.
- The shift supervisor and shift management team will be in charge and responsible for all warehouse/production issues and decisions.
- Promote and practice all company policies and procedures with an emphasis on safety.
