    Core responsibilities

    • Construct, assemble, install, repair, replace, and maintain electrical and pneumatic equipment and services throughout the facility and grounds.
    • Execute major electrical work—main and unit substations, transformers, bus duct, and control panels—in full alignment with national, state, and local electrical codes.
    • Troubleshoot machine electrical components using schematics, prints, and written procedures; replace defective parts to achieve desired operating results.
    • Produce sketches/diagrams and collaborate with designers/management to design, build, and commission special devices and custom electrical solutions.
    • Perform foundational electronic diagnostics following set procedures, including module and circuit board replacement.
    • Carry out preventive maintenance routines, periodic operational checks, and thermocouple testing/replacement.
    • Operate powered mobile equipment to move, place, and repair equipment as needed.
    • Maintain schedules and progress logs; use respiratory protective equipment when required.
    • Support facility needs such as loading/unloading trucks, lamp replacement, and general housekeeping.
    • Provide guidance and on-the-job training to less experienced tradespersons or helpers.
    • Adhere to company policies and all applicable safety and environmental regulations; keep work areas, tools, and machines orderly.

    Preferred background

    • A.A.S. degree or Certificate from an accredited electrical trade program; successful completion of job-related skills assessments.
    • 4+ years of experience in an industrial or equivalent setting.
    • Ability to pass visual, hearing, and physical assessments; complete Powered Industrial Truck Operator training per policy; meet color-vision requirements.
    • Shift schedule determined by business needs upon successful completion of the electrician training program.
    • Non-journeyman electricians will train under the supervision of a more skilled electrician until training is fully and successfully completed.
