A Day in the Life
At our Decatur, AL, 35601 facility, your shift begins with a quick scan of preventive maintenance logs and a walkthrough of key production areas. You’ll move from inspecting panels and conduits to diagnosing alarms on a line that needs to be back up fast. One hour you’re reading schematics to trace a control circuit; the next you’re collaborating with mechanics and operations to schedule a safe repair window. Throughout the day, you document your work carefully and keep safety and code compliance front and center.
What You’ll Do
Install, service, and repair electrical infrastructure and equipment in an industrial environment.
Diagnose issues and run electrical tests to pinpoint faults quickly.
Interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and technical drawings with confidence.
Work to applicable electrical codes and safety procedures at all times.
Coordinate with maintenance, production, and other teams to complete work efficiently.
Carry out routine inspections and preventive maintenance to reduce downtime.
Record maintenance, repairs, and inspections with accuracy and clarity.
Stay current on advancements in industrial electrical technology and best practices.
What You Bring
High school diploma or equivalent; completion of an electrical apprenticeship is preferred.
Valid electrician’s license or certification for the state of Alabama.
Proven experience working as an industrial electrician or in a closely related role.
Solid knowledge of electrical systems, circuits, and components.
Ability to read and apply technical documents and blueprints.
Excellent troubleshooting skills and precise attention to detail.
Clear communication skills and a collaborative, team-first mindset.
Flexibility to work varied hours, including overtime when needed.
