Description for Manufacturing Maintenance Technician:
- Troubleshoot, isolate, and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic equipment failures across active manufacturing lines.
- Recognize, diagnose, and correct machinery performance issues proactively to minimize plant downtime.
- Perform precision welding, structural metal fabrication, and tool setups to repair machinery elements securely.
- Execute routine, scheduled preventative maintenance (PM) logs on high-capacity conveyor and packaging systems.
- Ensure all technical repair work, chemical handling systems, and machinery setups strictly meet OSHA safety standards.
- Maintain highly accurate, clear digital records of completed work orders, parts inventory, and equipment calibrations.
Details for Manufacturing Maintenance Technician:
- Pay Rate: $20.00 / hour.
- Schedule: Monday – Friday | 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM (Occasional weekend shift flexibility required based on production demands).
- Location: Cowlitz County layout.
- Position Type: Full-Time, Temp-to-Hire path with long-term regional stability.
Requirements for Manufacturing Maintenance Technician:
- Verifiable prior experience working in industrial maintenance or plant automation mechanics.
- Solid functional troubleshooting knowledge spanning mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems.
- Demonstrated ability to read blueprints and interpret technical schematics to map out safe repair sequences.
- Actionable knowledge of safety procedures, lock-out/tag-out (LOTO) protocols, and emergency guidelines.
- High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent practical foundation.
- Must pass a standard pre-employment drug screen (some background restrictions apply).
- Exceptional history of daily attendance, prompt punctuality, and reliable personal transportation.
Physical Requirements:
- Willingness and capability to work in non-ideal industrial environments, including tight spaces, working at heights, dusty/dirty conditions, and around chemical containment zones.
- Physical stamina to stand all shift, walk large facility floors, bend, reach, crawl, and lift/maneuver up to 50 lbs unassisted.
