Plant Manager (2026-2027) - Mt. Washington Elementary

Mt. Washington Elementary School is looking for an energetic, organized and motivated person to maintain the cleanliness of our school. This person will perform routine custodial activities at MWES and maintain building and adjacent grounds areas in a clean, orderly and secure condition.

• Position Details

Hours: 8 hours per day (plus a 30-minute unpaid lunch)

Contract Length: 261 days per year

Contract Adjustments: Contracted days will be prorated based on the start date

Employment Status: Full-time with benefits

Employment Type: 12-month employee on the classified pay schedule

Qualifications & Requirements

• Education:
• High school diploma or GED
• Documentation: Candidates must provide proof of educational requirements to HR upon recommendation for hire.

2025-2026 Pay Scale

• Starting Pay (Step 0): $17.13/hour
• Experienced Pay (Step 10): $20.85/hour

New hires may bring up to 10 years of comparable, full-time, verified experience.

• The hired applicant is responsible for submitting the BCPS Verification of Experience Form to prior employers for completion and return to HR.

Salary Formula: Hours per day × Hourly rate = Daily rate <> Daily rate × Contracted days = Annual salary. <> Annual salary ÷ Remaining pay periods = Gross biweekly pay
