Plant Manager

Our client is a Tier 1 Automotive supplier that has seen tremendous growth, working with almost all major Automotive OEMs. They manufacture assemblies for the interior and exterior of automobiles, with a variety of materials and are looking for a tenured Plant Manager to manage production, quality, safety, efficiency, and the site wide P&L.

Job Description

  • Manage hourly and salaried personnel in production, engineering, operations, procurement, and finance
  • Lead all Lean/CI projects on the floor to increase efficiencies
  • Develop production plans based on demand
  • Manage materials, inventory, and shipping/receiving
  • Assume full responsibility for the plant P&L

The Successful Applicant

  • Bachelors Degree required - advanced degree preferred, engineering discipline preferred
  • Ability to commute to outside Chicago facility
  • 7+ years of plant management experience
  • 3+ years of leadership in an automotive manufacturing setting
  • Lean/Six Sigma/CI experience required, Certifications a plus
  • Ability to coach/mentor at all levels of organization

What's on Offer

  • Salary range 160,000 to 170,000 depending on tenure and interviews
  • Up to 30% bonus target
  • 3 weeks PTO + week shutdown during 4th of July and Christmas/New Year
