Job Details
Responsibilities
- Lead production across multiple departments, aligning schedules, staffing, and priorities with customer commitments.
- Own plant safety, OSHA and environmental compliance, training, audits, and incident follow-up.
- Improve quality, on-time delivery, productivity, labor utilization, and manufacturing costs.
- Reduce bottlenecks, scrap, and rework through Lean practices and root-cause problem solving.
- Coach supervisors, establish clear expectations, and build an engaged, accountable team.
- Partner with Sales, Design, Engineering, Project Management, Supply Chain, and Finance.
- Manage manufacturing budgets, resources, and expenses.
- Use ERP data and performance metrics to guide decisions and establish consistent production processes.
- Support hiring, training, and retention across plant operations.
Qualifications
- 10+ years of manufacturing experience and 7+ years of leadership experience.
- Experience overseeing multiple manufacturing departments or functions.
- Demonstrated improvements in safety, quality, productivity, delivery, and cost.
- Hands-on experience with Lean manufacturing, continuous improvement, and OSHA requirements.
- Strong ERP/MRP experience and advanced Excel skills; Epicor and Smartsheet are a plus.
- Custom, project-driven, or high-mix manufacturing experience strongly preferred.
- Background in millwork, signage, print, woodworking, custom fabrication, or metal fabrication is a plus.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred.
