Job Description
- Lead and scale all plant operations, including Manufacturing, Materials, Quality, Test, Safety, and Maintenance
- Own overall plant performance across safety, quality, delivery, cost, and productivity
- Build organizational structure and team capability to support increasing production volumes
- Ensure production plans align with customer demand and shipment targets
- Partner with Engineering on manufacturability, quality, and new product introduction
- Lead workforce planning, hiring, and leadership development
- Oversee Test operations to ensure products meet performance standards
- Own Quality performance, including defect reduction and corrective actions
- Lead Maintenance strategy to maximize equipment uptime and reliability
- Drive Lean and continuous improvement initiatives (Kaizen, A3, standard work, 5S)
- Lead cost-reduction and productivity improvement projects with measurable results
- Improve process stability, flow, and throughput across production areas
- Present operational performance and improvement progress to senior leadership
- Ensure improvements are sustained through controls and standardized processes
The Successful Applicant
A successful Plant Manager for this role will have experience leading manufacturing operations through growth and change, not simply maintaining steady-state production. They should be comfortable owning total plant performance and leading through people at all levels of the organization. Specifically, strong candidates will bring:
- Experience scaling production in a fast-growth manufacturing environment
- Proven success driving safety, quality, delivery, cost, and productivity metrics
- Hands-on leadership of supervisors and functional leaders
- Deep exposure to Lean manufacturing and continuous improvement
- Comfort operating on the shop floor while engaging strategically with senior leadership
- A data-driven mindset with strong problem-solving and financial acumen
- Experience leading cross-functional teams through ambiguity and change
