Plant Manager | Manufacturing Operations

We are seeking an experienced Plant Manager to oversee all aspects of manufacturing operations, including production, safety, quality, maintenance, workforce development, and continuous improvement. This leadership role is responsible for driving operational performance, improving productivity, and ensuring customer commitments are met while fostering a culture of accountability and excellence.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in manufacturing leadership, experience managing multiple departments, and a proven track record of improving operational efficiency through Lean Manufacturing principles and data-driven decision-making.

Manufacturing Operations
- Oversee daily production activities to ensure safety, quality, delivery, and productivity goals are achieved.
- Monitor manufacturing performance and implement strategies to improve efficiency and throughput.
- Coordinate production priorities with department leaders to meet customer requirements.
- Track key operational metrics and drive accountability throughout the facility.
- Identify operational challenges and implement solutions to minimize downtime and disruptions.
- Align plant performance objectives with overall business goals.

Safety & Regulatory Compliance
- Champion a culture focused on workplace safety and regulatory compliance.
- Lead safety initiatives and corrective action programs.
- Investigate incidents and implement preventative measures.
- Ensure compliance with company, customer, and regulatory requirements.

Continuous Improvement
- Lead Lean Manufacturing and operational improvement initiatives.
- Drive waste reduction, process optimization, and cost-saving projects.
- Utilize production data to identify trends and improvement opportunities.
- Facilitate root cause analysis and corrective action activities.
- Implement systems that improve productivity, quality, and delivery performance.

Quality, Maintenance & Performance
- Partner with Quality, Engineering, Supply Chain, and Customer Service teams to support operational goals.
- Support efforts to improve product quality, reduce scrap, and increase first-pass yield.
- Collaborate with maintenance teams to improve equipment reliability and uptime.
- Assist with capital improvement projects and long-term facility planning.

Leadership & Team Development
- Lead, mentor, and develop supervisors, managers, and production teams.
- Establish performance expectations and accountability standards.
- Conduct performance reviews and support employee development initiatives.
- Build a culture focused on teamwork, ownership, and continuous improvement.
- Support workforce planning and succession development efforts.



Requirements
- 7+ years of progressive manufacturing leadership experience.
- 5+ years of experience managing multiple functional areas within a manufacturing facility.
- Experience leading production, quality, maintenance, and operational teams.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing metrics, operational performance, and process improvement.
- Experience managing budgets, labor efficiency, and production performance.
- Demonstrated success improving productivity, quality, safety, and overall plant performance.

Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in metal fabrication, machining, welding, industrial manufacturing, or related industries.
- Background in Lean Manufacturing, TPM, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies.
- Experience leading large-scale operational improvement initiatives.
- Proven ability to drive measurable business results through operational excellence.
