Our client is seeking a driven, hands-on Plant / Mill Manager to lead a high-volume food manufacturing and milling operation in Minot, ND. This is a key leadership role for a go-getter who thrives in fast-paced manufacturing environments, takes ownership, drives accountability, and delivers results.
The ideal candidate will bring a strong milling background, proven operational leadership experience, and the ability to build high-performing teams while maintaining exceptional standards in safety, quality, and efficiency.
What You'll Do
- Lead all day-to-day plant and milling operations in a 24/7 manufacturing environment
- Manage and develop a team of 6 direct reports across operations and production leadership
- Drive operational excellence across safety, quality, cost, delivery, and employee engagement
- Oversee grain receiving, processing, milling, blending, sanitation, logistics, and outbound operations
- Utilize KPIs, Lean manufacturing principles, and continuous improvement initiatives to optimize performance
- Lead capital planning and operational strategy for long-term plant growth and innovation
- Foster a culture of accountability, communication, teamwork, and continuous improvement
What We're Looking For
- Strong mill manufacturing experience is REQUIRED
- Proven leadership experience within food manufacturing, grain processing, or milling operations
- Ability to lead from the floor with a hands-on management style
- Experience driving Lean initiatives and operational improvements
- Strong communication, coaching, and team development skills
- Results-oriented mindset with the ability to lead in a fast-paced production environment
- Bachelor's degree in Operations, Engineering, Milling Science, or related field preferred
