Midwest Prefab is seeking a Plant Production Manager to lead our growing prefabrication operation. The Plant Production Manager is responsible for leading Midwest Prefab's prefabrication manufacturing facility, overseeing all aspects of production within our prefab facility, ensuring components are manufactured safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards before arriving on our jobsites.
As Plant Production Manager, you will lead a skilled production team while driving continuous improvement, production planning, quality control, inventory management, equipment utilization, and manufacturing efficiency. This position bridges manufacturing best practices with commercial construction, helping transform the way projects are delivered through off-site prefabrication. You will partner closely with Operations, Project Management, Estimating, Purchasing, and Field Leadership to ensure prefabricated assemblies are produced accurately and delivered on time while continuously improving production processes and overall performance.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
Directly supervises Prefabrication Technicians, Warehouse personnel, and other employees assigned to the prefabrication facility. Responsibilities include onboarding, training, coaching, performance evaluations along with disciplinary actions, employee development, and workforce planning in partnership with the HR team. Responsible for fostering a culture centered on safety, quality, accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

WORK ENVIRONMENT
Work is performed in a manufacturing-style prefabrication facility and warehouse environment with frequent exposure to construction materials, powered industrial equipment, noise, dust, and varying temperatures. The position routinely transitions between office responsibilities and the production floor and may occasionally visit active construction jobsites with varying temperature dependent upon weather.

Compensation and Benefits
The anticipated salary range for this position is $85,000 - $115,000 annually. Final pay is subject to approval and may vary based on directly relevant payroll, construction payroll, union reporting, certified payroll, prevailing wage, payroll tax, systems, audit, and compliance experience; credentials; and internal equity. Eligible employees may participate in the ESOP, 401(k) plan with company match, medical, dental and vision insurance, paid time off and holidays, flexible spending accounts, and company-paid life and AD&D insurance.
