Provide leadership and management for the Erie quality function and sustain the quality philosophy and zero defects culture for the division at the plant level. Maintain and optimize an effective quality management system. Implement the divisional quality plan at the plant level to achieve the division''s overall quality objectives. Enhance and improve the plant products and services through the implementation of AS9100, ISO 9001, problem-solving tools, prevention methods, quality-at-the-source and continual improvement techniques. Reports to the Division Quality Manager.
Responsibilities:
Requirement Qualifications:
Bachelor''s degree in mechanical engineering or related discipline.
Minimum 5 - 8 years of Quality related experience with increasing responsibility in an aerospace manufacturing environment.
Demonstrated Quality leadership in a manufacturing environment; 6 years preferred
Auditing experience with AS9100, NADCAP or related.
Demonstrated process management/lean manufacturing/continuous improvement experience as well as knowledge and experience with quality system standards.
Competent with AS9100, ISO9000 and NADCAP requirements.
Demonstrated knowledge with Zero Defects core tools (PPAP, PFMEA, QCP, MSA, process capability, error proofing).
Demonstrated ability to create, train, monitor, analyze and implement improvements in SPC.
Demonstrated competence in various problem-solving techniques.
Knowledge of metrology and inspection techniques.
Ability to effectively communicate information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the public.
Ability to lead teams and develop positive relationships with coworkers, customers, suppliers, and auditors.
Approachable and able to effectively communicate advanced quality concepts, plans, and technical data, internally and externally at all levels.
Detailed knowledge of manufacturing processes and related process controls is required.
Demonstrated competency and professionalism in interactions with executive management, suppliers, customers, and team members
Proficient with Microsoft Office
