About the Role
As a Plant Reliability Technician, you keep our ice production lines healthy, safe, and running on schedule. You’ll blend hands-on equipment operations with advanced maintenance work, ensuring manufacturing systems, processing equipment, and facility assets all perform reliably.
A Day in the Life
- Begin with a walk-through: monitor every critical asset and confirm machinery is production-ready with the right tools and supplies on hand.
- Operate processing equipment as needed, complete preventive maintenance, and diagnose issues using schematics, blueprints, and technical documentation.
- Restore uptime quickly: troubleshoot malfunctions, perform repairs, and document findings.
- Check output quality by visually inspecting ice for clarity, cube size, and hole spacing.
- Tackle small facility tasks—swap lightbulbs, paint touch-ups, and minor structural fixes—to keep the plant in top condition.
- Apply basic root cause analysis and use data to pinpoint problems and implement countermeasures.
- Contribute to continuous improvement: surface opportunities to the Operations Manager and take part in Kaizen events and value stream mapping (VSM), leveraging tools like A3.
- Pitch in on bagging when needed and occasionally help direct production workflow based on equipment throughput.
- Complete safety checklists, identify industrial health and safety concerns, and take corrective action.
- Model our Code of Business Ethics with honesty, integrity, and a personal commitment to safety.
