Plant Sanitation Tech

Our client, a leading food manufacturing company, is seeking a Sanitation Technician to join their team. As a Sanitation Technician, you will be part of the Sanitation Department supporting the Production, Quality, and Food Safety teams. The ideal candidate will have attention to detail, a strong commitment to safety, and a dependable work ethic, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Sanitation Technician
Location: Ashland, OH
Pay: 17.25/hourly
Shift: 2nd Shift 

What’s the Job?

• Clean and sanitize production equipment, packaging lines, and facility areas following the Master Sanitation Schedule (MSS).
• Safely operate sanitation equipment and use cleaning chemicals while following GMP, SQF, and safety procedures.
• Disassemble and reassemble production equipment to perform thorough cleaning and inspections.
• Maintain housekeeping standards throughout production, warehouse, offices, breakrooms, and common areas.
• Complete sanitation documentation and support food safety, continuous improvement, and plant operations as needed.

What’s Needed?

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Previous experience in food manufacturing, industrial cleaning, or sanitation preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and work in wet, humid, and variable-temperature environments.
• Willingness to work weekends, holidays, overtime, and at heights when required.
• Basic knowledge of food safety practices (GMP, SQF, HACCP), chemical handling, and safe work procedures preferred.
