Ashland LLC has an exciting opportunity for a Plant Production and Raw Material Scheduler to join our Manufacturing Group at our Calvert City, KY location. This is a very visible, significant role within the Company and Plant Manufacturing function. This position will report to the Manager of Materials and Production Scheduling.

Description

The responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Use SAP Enterprise Resource Planning software to strategically create and manage achievable production schedules for production units to optimize use of plant equipment while meeting customer requirements.
  • Analyze, plan, and manage production scheduling activities to insure on-time deliveries to customers.
  • Run SAP MRP based inventory-planning system to project demand requirements for >80 raw materials to maintain targeted inventory levels.
  • Analyze and procure packaging to support 25 production units and >50 different packages.
  • Works with Operations and Quality departments to investigate quality complaints and implement corrective actions.
  • Supports implementation of programs and procedures to optimize production and continually improve processes.
  • Participates in Safety, Quality and Environmental initiatives that will contribute to compliance of State/Federal regulations and improve existing Company programs.
  • Requires travel <5%.

In order to be qualified for this role, you must possess the following:

  • 5 years' experience in a professional production planning/supply chain environment using MRP and ERP Systems.
  • HS Diploma or equivalent
  • Strong Microsoft Skills including strong Excel.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills; ability to multi-task and prioritize; reliable and responsible to work independently.
  • Ability to identify critical issues and formulate action plans.
  • Develop and foster a positive work environment at all levels.
  • Resolve conflicts through problem resolution skills.

The following skill sets are preferred:

  • Bachelor's degree
  • SAP planning and procurement experience
