Resinall Corp, an Ergon company, is seeking a Plant Support Engineer for its Severn, NC facility. This role is a hands-on support and supervisory position responsible for coordinating and overseeing daily maintenance activities while providing technical and engineering support to maintenance teams as needed. The Plant Support Engineer will proactively identify opportunities to predict, prevent, and reduce equipment failures, helping improve plant reliability and performance. In addition, this position supports capital projects, including the development and preparation of capital requests. The Plant Support Engineer reports directly to the Plant Manager.

Position Qualifications:

  • BS degree in Engineering (civil, mechanical, or chemical)
  • 1-2 years of experience in a petrochemical environment is recommended
  • Experience with Microsoft Windows, Word, Excel, and Access is recommended

Responsibilities: The duties of the Plant Support Engineer include but are not limited to:

  • Maintaining a clean and well-organized workspace
  • Striving to develop good working relationships with all co-workers, customers, and associates
  • Exemplifying high levels of moral and ethical standards and values
  • Monitoring the initiation, development, assignment, and completion of general maintenance work orders
  • Providing technical engineering support on a continual basis to the Maintenance Department
  • Coordinating and scheduling non-routine maintenance work, including inspections, plant turnarounds, and emergency shutdowns
  • Maintaining files for all plant equipment
  • Developing and maintaining a preventive maintenance system within Resinalls CMMS
  • Developing and maintaining a predictive maintenance program to increase plant equipment reliability
  • Participating in Resinalls Management of Change MOC process
  • Managing Resinalls Piping Alteration and Repair Program
  • Developing completed project design specifications
  • Organizing, preparing, and conducting project reviews with key personnel
  • Monitoring progress of assigned Resinall Corp projects
  • Reviewing project details and equipment with Maintenance personnel, supervision, engineering technicians, to ensure maintenance interests are addressed
  • Preparing detailed project estimates and cost justifications
  • Preparing and implementing project schedules
  • Managing assigned projects from project approval through project completion
  • Securing and coordinating contract consulting engineering and design services
  • Specifying and procuring parts and equipment
  • Creating bid specifications and performing bid evaluations
  • Documenting all phases of project design, construction, and installation
  • Initiating, participating in, and ensuring the completion of the Management of Change Procedure
  • Ensuring startup spares are secured for project-related equipment
  • Ensuring equipment files are created and maintained
  • Ensuring drawings are updated as needed
  • Acting as a liaison between maintenance contractors and operations during project execution and on issues relative to engineering design or support for technical matters
