Job SummaryThe Plant Utilities Engineer 3 performs various administrative duties such as data gathering, qualitative and quantitative analysis, projects, program development, and coordination of duties in support of the Physical Plant Assistant Director of Utilities for the Physical Plant's plan, and directs and coordinates staff in the operation and maintenance of heat generating, air conditioning, HVAC and electrical equipment. The incumbent also plans, directs and coordinates programs involving systems maintenance, health safety issues, and energy conservation. Must possess and maintain a valid NYS Driver's License.Minimum QualificationsNew York State Department of Civil Service Eligible List or eligible for transfer.To be eligible for provisional appointment, candidate must have served either:One year as a permanent Plant Utilities Engineer 2Two years as a permanent Plant Utilities Engineer 1Preferred QualificationsWork Days: Schedule based on 40 hour work week.
