Your Role

Akkodis is seeking a Plant Vehicle Team (PVT) Engineer for a Contract with a client in Chicago, IL. The ideal candidate will support vehicle electrical system quality by identifying, troubleshooting, and driving resolution of design and manufacturing issues across production programs.

Rate Range: $34/Hour to $36/Hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

Plant Vehicle Team (PVT) Engineer Responsibilities include:

• Support daily warranty claim analysis, triage vehicle electrical concerns, and prioritize containment actions based on issue severity and customer impact.

• Lead root cause investigations for electrical distribution system (EDS) and low-voltage wiring issues, coordinating with cross-functional engineering and manufacturing teams.

• Manage engineering change activities, including plant trials, change approvals, and production implementation readiness.

• Review vehicle electrical diagnostics, DTCs, and end-of-line test failures to develop effective corrective action plans.

• Participate in vehicle builds and quality reviews, driving resolution of design and manufacturing issues through systems such as AIMS and JIRA.

• Develop and implement long-term quality improvement strategies, engineering change business cases, and solutions to reduce recurring customer and plant concerns.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, Systems Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical field.

• 2+ years of experience in system engineering, root cause analysis, quality improvement, or automotive electrical systems.

• Hands-on experience with low-voltage wiring systems, electrical distribution systems (EDS), and wiring harness design/release activities.

• Proficiency in troubleshooting electrical issues, conducting root cause analysis, and driving corrective actions in a manufacturing or automotive environment.

Pay Details: $34.00 to $36.00 per hour
