Planview PPM Consultant

Key Responsibilities

• Perform end-to-end Planview Portfolio implementation, configuration, and administration.
• Demonstrate strong expertise in Planview architecture, modules, integrations, and functional capabilities.
• Configure and support Planview functional modules, including Project Management, Portfolio Management, Resource Management, Timesheet Management, Financial Management, and Demand Management.
• Integrate Planview with Jira and third-party applications using SOAP Web Services.
• Perform data migration and integration between other applications and Strategic Portfolio Management (SPM) platforms.
• Automate business workflows using UiPath and Power Automate.
• Design and maintain data models, schemas, and reporting frameworks using SQL, Power BI, and Microsoft Report Builder.
• Configure and support JasperSoft reporting, including report scheduling and administration.
• Set up OKRs and AgilePlace within Planview to support Agile processes.
• Administer Planview PPM and CA PPM environments, including Time Period Setup, Resource Setup, Project Financials, User Security, Jobs, Processes, Financial Setup, and New UX.
• Configure and manage CA PPM Studio functionality.
• Interact with vendor support teams to resolve environment, performance, and application-related issues.
• Proactively identify problems, perform root-cause analysis, and implement permanent solutions.
• Document processes, data flows, reporting structures, technical procedures, and configuration details.
• Support process documentation and change management initiatives.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth solution delivery.
• Support migration activities from other PPM tools into Planview/SPM environments.

Required Skills & Experience

• 4–6 years of experience in Planview Project & Portfolio Management.
• Prior Planview implementation experience is mandatory.
• 2–3 years of experience working with Planview/CA PPM functional modules.
• Strong expertise in Planview architecture, modules, configuration, administration, and integrations.
• Strong SQL and reporting skills with Power BI and Microsoft Report Builder.
• Experience with automation tools such as UiPath and Power Automate.
• Proficiency in SOAP Web Services and data modeling.
• Strong understanding of Planview PPM and CA PPM administration.
• Experience with Time Period Setup, Resource Setup, Project Financials, User Security, Jobs setup and scheduling, Processes, Jaspersoft Report scheduling, Financial Setup, and New UX.
• Experience with data migration and application integrations within SPM/PPM environments.
• Strong troubleshooting and root-cause analysis skills.
• Ability to coordinate effectively with vendor support and cross-functional technical teams.

• Experience with GEL scripting.
• Experience with REST APIs.
• Experience with XOG.
• Experience with Planview and third-party integrations.
• Experience migrating from other PPM tools.
• Experience supporting AgilePlace and OKR implementations.
